RUFFUS were involved in Eurovision 2003, placing badly, quite unfairly, as their song was half decent. This loss led to much Estonian animosity being aimed in the band's direction, and a group of teenagers aged 13-16 turned up at Vaiko's (the lead singer/songwriter) house and 'bullied' him. Vaiko was forced to hire bodyguards ...who were apparently not present when he was later punched in the face at a nightclub by a drunk man who 'did not know who he was'...

They met on a sunny, Estonian day...

Soon, they started playing gigs...

...at the top Estonian clubs.

While they encountered trouble along the way...

...they could always solve their problems if they worked together.

Then Vaiko began to worry about his image...

..and all the photos that 'the ladies' sent him was getting distracting.

Margus had no idea what was going on,

and let's not even get started on the technical difficulties!

Money was running low, even by Estonian standards...

...and relationships were strained.

Sometimes Ivo wouldn't turn up to gigs...

...and Vaiko was getting a touch too fussy.

...he begged for help...

...there seemed to be some kind of communication...

...but it was too late. They entered Eurovision. Thus are the mighty fallen.
